01 30 sec, 1 min, 3 min: what changes? +

In 30 seconds, capture the line of action and big shapes from head to toe. In 1 minute, add the tilt of the shoulders and hips and the weight-bearing foot. In 3 minutes, study overlaps and proportions. Whatever the time, begin with the whole pose before small details.

02 What should I draw first? +

Mark the head, then draw the spine’s flow in one line. Note the tilt of the shoulders and hips, then connect the arms and legs. Compare your drawing with the photo and notice how the feet support the body.

03 Practice with your own photos +
